Apples iPod Touch 2nd gen with version 3 OS : Review

I have fallen in love with the iPod Touch from Apple. I bought it back
in December 2008 mainly as a video capable mp3 player & as that it
really is quite good ok the sound quality isn't great, but if you want
brilliant sound go buy a top end audio player or pc audio card, really
for most of us using decent headphones the sound is fine.
The iPod Touch goes further however it really is a small personal
computer & portable gaming device as well, I use it instead of a
laptop or netbook. I VNC into virtual machines running on my main pc &
am able to control them as if I were there, most of my email is done
via the iPod as well, the blog post you are reading was done through
email on the Touch.
The OS 3 upgrade fixed any problems that existed in the originan 2nd
gen, the ability to cut copy / past was essential & after much
complaining we finally got it.
The gaming performance is good equal to the PSP & better tha the DS
the accellerometer adds a new form of control to portable gaming & the
variety of games available through the Apps Store is great & there are
quite a few available for FREE, this goes for other apps as well take
the Skype app which ( with the aid of microphone enhanced headphones
or Bluetooth earpiece/mike) turns your Touch into a wireless iPhone,
wireless network scanners (essential for finding open & free network
connections, online storeage apps ( enhance your storeage whereever
you can get online ), remote control apps, an iTunes remote control,
wireless trackpad/keyboard as well as the above mentioned VNC client
enable the iPod Touch to remotely control your computers & software.
I could rave for pages about the pros of owning an iPod Touch There
are 1 or 2 small problems but nothing really major & OS 3 upgrade
really has made this the mobile media device to own.

The druz rating is 8.75 out of a possible 10.

Suggestion : get one with 16gb not 8Gb !!!.
