I'm a fairly large consumer of the programs from the ABC & lately ABC News 24 & just recently in the news & current affairs area's that there has been a tangible move to the Political Right as well as a move towards a more commercial format to their news content Fox panel style shows with [usually one extremist or apologist] from either side & a Moderate whom only seems to be there to get talked over, if they can ever get a word in edgeways to begin with

Apart from Hungry Beast & Foreign correspondent, there is nothing good on the ABC News/Current Affairs Schedule. I don't know where the right wing influence has come from but it is undeniably apparent. I believe it was imported when ABC News 24 started hiring & Broadcasting. I believe they hired quite a few Journalists with known right wing views & their guest list is brim full of "Right Thinking" Australians.
This all happened under the watch of a certain Kevin Rudd probably the most Right wing Labor Prime Minister ever & there lies the real problem with the both sides of the political divide way over to the right, basically carbon copies of each other the squabbling they carry on with is just window dressing.
In this lacklustre political environment starved of any "REAL" news they find the little nag points & try to put a black & white solution forward when the real solution would be infinitely more complex in comparison.
I'm asking The ABC to not treat it's core base of consumers as if they are "simple", we have minds capable of critical thought, we wan't more,more Viewpoints, Experts, [educated] Opinion & a Return to the quality impartial journalism of the "Aunty" of Old.
